Welcome to METALAIM – International Industrial Metal Suppliers

We are a Steel Supply Chain company, serving the steel industry with over 30 years of international physical commodity trade experience. Exporting from reputed and vetted steel mills across the globe. Metalaim’s foundation is built from industry partnerships and joint ventures, bridging supply from across all continents and time zones directly to our industrial end consumers, typically to steel making processing and distribution industries to automotive, construction, oil and gas, marine, power generation, general engineering, white goods, shipbuilding, agricultural and mining.

Our core business

Steel trading and distribution of semi finished and finished steel flat and long products from major top 10 world producers. Through co-operation agreements with major steel producing mills, coupled with a number of exclusive channelisation and off-take agreements helping to facilitate maximisation to the bottom line. Achieving the most competitive and economic pricing and priority fast track delivery.

Steel Making Raw Material’s department

We support the steel manufacturing industry with raw material supply, from Ferrous recycled scrap in the form of HMS 1:2, Shredded steel scrap, PNS to Pig Iron, DRI, HBI and Iron Ore from origins of UK, EU, Middle East, Japan, Brazil Australia and USA. We also supply raw materials to the cement manufacturing industry. Our team of professionals are able to simultaneously track price dynamics correlations on raw materials and finished steel market movements on a daily basis, tracked against Shanghai futures to the London Metal Exchange, allowing a deeper informed decision on procurement timings and also supported with hedging and futures contracts to mitigate exposures to market volatility.

Technical department

Our engineers are always on standby to assess and review, technical clarifications and ensure that our steel mills are vetted under stringent quality inspection audits. A very important area for us, as some of our long term clients are Oil and Gas companies with very strict procurement conditions, in some cases we manage annual supply contracts for many industrial clients, whereby their supply chain management teams are closely working with us on a daily basis for ongoing delivery briefings.

Logistics department

Co-ordinating cargo shipments, maximising our freight networks and nominating suitable mode of shipment, whether by break bulk or container route. Fully motivated to ensure our cargoes reach our clients within our contractual and agreed time frame.

Documentations department

Experienced team of professionals are managing complicated letter of credit financial instruments, closely observing Banking UCP 600 Terms and managing the intricacies of Banking rules and conditions. Thereby protecting the interests of our clients for a risk managed transaction.
